Planting Tips:
Direct sow outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, or start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before your last frost date. Press seeds lightly into the soil and keep consistently moist until germination. Black-Eyed Susan grows best in full sun and well-drained soil but adapts to a wide range of growing conditions. Remove spent flowers to encourage continued blooming, or allow some seed heads to remain for birds and natural reseeding. Once established, plants are drought tolerant and require very little maintenance.
